On the 25th April the Head Students and Kaiarhi I Te Reo went to the Anzac Day service in Katikati and laid a wreath on behalf of the school.
The parade was such an honor to go to, I felt so proud to lay the Katikati Primary School wreath. It felt so good to stand next to the veterans that fought so well for New Zealand and for Australia. I wish I was brave enough to go and talk to them about their experience, all of their medals made me think that they were the ones to make NZ safe for others around them. I really respect the sacrifice they made to themselves and their families, both my great grandads fought in the World War 2 and my family deeply respects them.
Lest we forget...
