Exciting news - 5 Youth Leaders for the Junior School

5/16/2017

This year we have introduced Youth Leaders who are the Leaders for the Junior School.
Those Year 3 children who wanted to be considered for this important role had to write a letter demonstrating their suitability for the job.
The Youth Leaders were announced at our Assembly last week.
Tyler Wells, Ashlee Boggis, Chenoa Williams, Preston Hill, as well as Te Arahi Mafi who is the Kaiarihi for the Junior School.
They will receive a special badge to show they are the Youth Leaders of 2017. Look out for these amazing role models, who show great leadership skills!
Congratulations to all of you!
Below are letters of application for the role.

My Challenge:
Hi! My name is Tyler. I want to be a Youth Leader because I will try my hardest at getting up on stage without any distractions and I have never got to Step 3 at all. I filled up 4 ERIC cards. I have very good manners and if I stand at the door I will smile at you! Tyler Wells

My Challenge:
I would be good at helping run the assembly because I am good at reading for the songs that we will be choosing to sing. I would be an excellent and helpful student. I'm good at listening and following instructions quickly. I would be happy to be chosen. I am a clear loud speaker.
Thank you!  Preston Hill

To whom it may concern:
My name is Chenoa. I can bring a loud voice and smart brain because I think you should choose me. I'm a good reader and I am on to my 3rd ERIC card. I'm friendly. I would bring a smile. I  would love being a Youth Leader. I would be a brave speaker also I know how to give out a token too. I would try being there every time. But I want to give it a go because this is my challenge. Chenoa Williams.

To whom it may concern:
I think that if you pick me I will  not get stage fright. I will speak clearly. I'm Ashlee. I am not afraid to step on stage. I promise I have never got Step 1 or Step 2 and I have never got a detention which means I am really a good school value student.
Choose me because I'm use to being at the front with people. I am very friendly with a smile.
I would love to speak through a microphone. Ashlee Boggis
