Kiekie Pod (Rooms 8 & 9 )

Anzac day has been a focus in many of the classrooms, end of last term and this term. In Kiekie pod the Teachers set up a trench for the students to experience what it was like not being able to stand and have to crawl around the classroom. They wrote stories to their loved ones (family) explaining what it was like. They also read Anzac Ted and had to design their own Ted using shading techniques.

Because it is Autumn, we are lucky to have all the beautiful leaves all shapes and sizes around the school. Kiekie pod decided to do some art. They found some leaves, painted them in Autumn colours and pressed them on paper. They then cut them out and glued them onto a  background of their choice.
Kiekie pod made mother’s day rocks. First they painted a base coat, sketch out a pattern and painted the picture they sketched. After all of that they added details and more decorations. They then wrapped them up and put them in a little paper basket with a card to go with them.
