Kaimai Pod

This week in Kaimai pod they have been thinking about Pink Shirt Day and anti bullying week.  They have been doing some writing about if you’ve been bullied or threatened. They planned comics, based around a situation they had been in or read about. They also thought about how we could stop bullying in school and everyone came up with five things they could do to help. Kaimai loved dressing up in pink for Pink Shirt Day.

In writing they have been describing Mr Graveson and what he does in our school. Kaimai Pod is nominating him for a competition for the best caretaker in New Zealand. Kaimai Pod thinks he does lots for our school.  They listed all the jobs they knew that he did … and the list was very very long. Then we wrote descriptions about him.
Mr Graveson’s smile reaches his ears with laughter everyday.  Grey hair sits on his head, blue eyes twinkle at the door that he fixes.

His big friendly smile covers his face and light blue eyes hide under his glasses when he reads. He wears a green T.shirt matched with a  KKPS vest, as well as grey and brown army shorts.

The black boots are worn out from years of tireless work. Jeans are cracked with mud from cleaning gutters and working.
