When I walked into the pool, parents were already waiting to see the swimming. The teacher called out the first swimming group and we put our warm feet in the water. The water was cold when we jumped in and were waiting for the clapper to go. Then suddenly the clapper went. Bang! Everybody started swimming as fast as they cold to win the race. The next race went and then the next and next. At the end of the day they told us the winning house - Gledstaines, Stewart, MacMillan and then Mulgan! By Tianna M

Go, go, go! Yesterday we did Swimming Sports. We went over to our school pool in our house colours. It was only Year 4’s. It was exciting, everybody was yelling for their teammates. The pool was freezing cold as soon as you got in and even more freezing when you got out. When we were in the pool the teacher had two block and BANG! Everybody was off swimming. It was amazing at Swimming Sports! By Tresna S

Splash! The water splashed as I darted into the water as the clapper clapped. “Swim” I said to myself, “swim as fast as you can”. But it was too late. The children were already at the end. !st Tianna, 2nd Ashlee and 3rd Madison. That was the end og the length of freestyle. Well too bad, at least I tried my best. - By Shreya K

Splish, splash as I pushed off against the side of the pool. People were cheering. I just wanted to close my eyes. I took a deep breath s the tiny waves pushed me underwater. Finally I touched the bar in first place. I rushed out of the KKPS pool with my purple lips touching. I ran with the cube in my hand. I heard “go MacMillan, go Stewart, go Mulgan, go Gledstanes”. Yay, next it was the finals. I was nervous. By Ashlee B

Splash! Yesterday I went to the Year 4 Swimming Sports. It was awesome because I came 2nd in backstroke and freestyle and I came first in the dolphin dive! The funnest part was that we had a free swim. I played tag with my friends. By Shyam K

I was in the last swimming group. That’s why I was a little bit tensed. The performance of first three swimming groups was not that impressive. However, because of my sold performance, we were able to get second position.
