Katikati Bus  2021

Registering

It is very important that you ensure that your child is registered on the bus by entering your details at www.katikati.easybus.nz.

Register for updates at www.katikati.easybus.nz and check the site in to confirm which service your child will be on and what time they need to be waiting at their stop. Please advise the school office when you have done this and we will then add your child/ren to the schools bus lists. You will also receive updates on any changes to bus routes that may affect you.

The Katikati Transport Network’s website is the best source of information about our bus routes. On it you can view the proposed bus routes, start times and the roads travelled upon.

Please contact the bus company if you have any concerns or issues about the bus service.

Please let the office know when your child is catching the bus for the first time so they can ensure they go to the correct busline.

Bus Expectations: Students who travel on a bus may continue to do so while they behave in a reasonable and safe manner. Easybus and the school work closely together to ensure that Health and Safety of students on bus is paramount. The expectations are…

In bus line students:
  • Go straight to the bus line and sit down to be marked off.
  • Walk to the bus in line with the duty teacher.
  • Speak nicely to others- NO name calling.
  • Keep hands and feet to themselves.
On the bus students:
  • Sit down and remain seated for the whole journey.
  • Speak nicely to others- NO name calling.
  • Keep hands and feet to themselves.
  • DO NOT throw objects inside or out of the bus.
  • Use appropriate language when talking and speak quietly so they do not distract the bus driver.
  • Respect the bus driver’s property at all times.
  • Listen to and follow the instructions of the bus monitor and the bus driver at all times.
  •  DO NOT behave in any way that could put other passengers, the driver or themselves at risk.

If a student does not follow these expectations the parents/caregivers will be notified and if this continues the student will be off bus for the week.
