Harakeke Pod (Rooms 12,13,14)

Harakeke Pod have been learning about their bodies. They made fascinating brain hats to show each part of the brain.
They have also been looking at the human skeleton. They used strips of paper to make a full size paper skeleton of one member of their team. strips were used to lie along and wrap around their bones. Then they used a ruler to measure the length of each strip in centimetres.
We asked students  for some facts about bones, they said;
"The smallest bone is found in our ear"
"Babies have 300 bones and we have 206 bones"
"Bones protect our organs like our heart, lungs and brain"
Well done Harakeke Pod!
