Anzac Day at KKPS

5/8/2018

This year Anzac Day fell in the school holidays. This didn't stop us from learning about this important and special day. Check out some of the awesome learning that the senior school has done to celebrate Anzac Day.

Our head students went to the Anzac Parade and service to lay a wreath on behalf of our school.

Gallipoli

I hear gunshots as I jump off the boat. The water is dark red. The cold night air seems gloomy and scary, this morning. I regret coming here and so many other people probably do as well. I reach the sand. Tears drip down my face like rain. The only thing going through my head is… this is the end, the end of my life. People are already giving up. People shout, “Shoot! Shoot!”
I lift my gun and pull the trigger. Bang! It hits someone. They fall. I drop my gun. I feel guilty for killing someone. I don’t want to fight this war. There’s a stinging sensation in my chest and then silence.
