On Friday we had a Character Book Parade to celebrate Book Week. On book week parade you get to dress up as a book character of your choice and then parade around the courts with your class to a song.

First it started off with Year 1 and then it went all the way up to Year 6. After the Year 6 students paraded there was a teacher's parade.

Mrs Nicholson and Mrs Morris were the bubble twins, Miss Hills and Whaea Tania were Thing 1 and Thing 2, Mrs M was Alice in wonderland. Mrs McKeown was Little Red Riding Hood, Mrs Taylor and Whaea Jane were tigger and pooh bear from winnie the pooh. Mrs Gaudion was Cat in the Hat because she loves cats! Mrs Purcell was Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Mrs Bertinshaw was Pippi Longstockings and Mrs Bain was a pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean!

A special thank you to to Miss B and Mrs Dyer for organising the parade and also for organising all of the fantastic events to celebrate Book Week at Katikati Primary School!

nks for sh dc aring the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading anddzcdv sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
