Recently, Kaimai Pod has been learning about Matariki and some of the different legends that describe Matariki.

Kaimai Pod had also been doing entertaining songs about maths, such as their three times tables as well as their four times tables. Many students in Kaimai Pod have been using Maths Whizz to improve their learning.  Some students have also been using hit the button to work on their times tables and dividing.

In literacy, Rooms 27 and 26 have been using Read Theory to improve their reading and knowledge. We have asked a couple students from Kaimai pod about how they think reading can improve their writing. Alexis explains,  “ By reading you can learn new words and it can feed your brain with grammar in your writing.” Another classmate, Samuel said, “ I think that reading can improve my writing by giving me a more interesting vocabulary for my writing and can give me a bigger imagination to make my ideas for my writing more interesting.“
Kaimai has also been doing alot of fantastic art! There are optical illusions, cell phones that describe their hobbies, wings with individual feathers and more.
