On Friday 10th of August Katikati Primary School made up a team of 13 boys and went to Arataki Park where a league tournament was held.

We had Tony, a coach from Bay of Plenty Rugby League come out school and help us learn some of the rules and practise our tackling.

The team included: Jack Harray, Flynn Moodie, Fletcher Anderson, Blake Furness, William Sutton, Talan pearse, Ben Montford, Simi Vackasiole, Mounga Kivalu, O'shea Puffalane, Lucas Favel-Phillips, Filli and Jake Bowman.

Our team played 4 round robin matches and 2 play of games. We won 1 of the round robin matches by default and won the last 2 play off games against Gate Pa and Pongakawa.

It's fantastic to see our young kids participating and representing our town/school. Well done to you all. We are super proud of you!!
