On Wednesday 8th March the Year 5 & 6 students had their Swimming Sports.
We had Swimming Sports to get house points and also to find the students who would go through to represent our school at Northern Clusters.
We sat on the bank until it came time for our race. The competitive swimmers went first. Some of the competitive races were 1 and 3 lengths freestyle, breastroke, backstroke and medley.
After the competitive swimmers had finished their races we all had a free swim as it was such a hot day! Then we had some non-competitive, fun width races. Some of these were running, cartwheeling and dolphin diving. We also had a house relay which Mulgan won.
We had a bake sale, sold juices and had a sausage sizzle in order to raise money for our camp later in the year.
A huge thank you to Christine, our sports coordinator, and all the volunteers who made our Swimming Sports possible.
